Leadership style: A style of providing direction to people, implementing plans that are set and finally motivating them to meet Organizational objectives and goals. (Leadership style)
No one style of leadership fits all situations. Every style differs from one another. So, for this purpose it's useful to understand the different styles of leadership. The various types of leadership are mentioned as follows:
Authoritarian:
  1. Know as autocratic leader
  2. Keeps close control over followers through policies and procedures
  3. Creates a distinct professional relationship
  4. Direct supervision is what they believe in maintaining a successful environment

Paternalistic:
  1. Acts as father by taking care of the subordinates
  2. Gives complete concern to his followers
  3. Workers are totally committed to what their leader believes
  4. Relation between them is extremely solid
  5. Loyalty and trust is maintained

Democratic:
  1. Leader shares the decision-making abilities with group members
  2. Promotes members interests
  3. Focuses more on debate, sharing of ideas and encouragement

Laissez-faire:
  1. Right and power to make decisions is given to the workers
  2. Known as "hands off” leadership style
  3. Leader delegates the tasks to their followers without instruction and directions
  4. If offers freedom to make decision for the workers

Transactional:
  1. Focuses on motivation rather than controlling
  2. Involves system of rewards and punishments
  3. Rewards for efforts and good performance
  4. Allows the leader to maintain status quo

Attributes of leader:
  1. Intelligence
  2. Charisma
  3. Appearance
  4. Fluency of speech
  5. Integrity
  6. Enthusiasm
  7. Self-confidence
  8. Self-driven and self-motivated
  9. Desire to lead
  10. Decisiveness

Leaders are the person who can change the face of an organization. Leader generally leads their followers through supervision, motivation, sharing of ideas etc. Thus, to be a leader one should be honest, competent, intelligent, broad-minded, courageous, and imaginative and should always be innovative. In fact, everyone has their own leadership style it's all about how they execute it in an effective manner that can bring positive attitude on their workers behavior. A good culture always brings positive environment in an organization. So, as a leader one should be able to seek responsibility and should be able to take responsibility, should know their people and look out for their well-being, should motivate them to increase their inputs. A good leader always takes people where they want to go.
