A business model is the conceptual structure supporting the viability of a business, including its purpose, its goals and its ongoing plans for achieving them. At its simplest, a business model is a specification describing how an organization fulfills its purpose. All business processes and policies are part of that model. A business strategy typically is a document that clearly articulates the direction a business will pursue and the steps it will take to achieve its goals. In a standard business plan, the business strategy results from goals established to support the stated mission of the business.
Strategic intent is that in which a readily grasped declaration of the courses that the management of a business plans on taking the company in over some future time frame. The strategic intent of a business needs to be easily understood by every member of the firm so that all staff can be working toward a consistent overall goal. Whereas the skill-bases strategic thinking is that in which the organizations allocates different authority to different departmental person based on their skills, capacity, knowledge, attitudes, experience, and so on. That helps organizations to take better strategic decisions from related persons to achieve organizational goals.
The business model, strategic planning, strategic intent, and skill-based strategic thinking are related to each other. Unless and until making good combination between these variables an organization cannot make an appropriate goal of the organizations. The organizations should determine its business model at first and should determine its strategies to meet its objectives. Similarly, the organization should inform its plan among the team members of organizations and should provide authority to the related persons of the organizations. Therefore, these are related to each other. Until and unless making good combination between these variables the organization cannot achieve its goals perfectly.
This concept can help to avoid myopic, because all these concepts are related to each other based on their performance criteria. It means that through the helps of these concepts, the organization can share all related information to the related persons on time and it helps to become high motive for the organizational employees towards their activities. That also reduces the gap of information sharing, gap between management and employee, and gap between organizational goal and employee's role. Thus, avoiding such conflicts regarding different issues these concepts help to avoid myopic.
